Statement

Skin is the body's gateway to sensation: It protects, breathes, regulates hot and cold. The studio is my skin, tattooed with stories, scarred by time, covering my vitals and form, shedding, evolving, breathing new ways of seeing, collecting and interpreting.

My works are on skin and simulated skin. Some are painted and some, on cowhide, are painted without painting, by shaving the hair to create images informed by my own narrative.
